This magnificent, gray Welsh stallion comes from champion bloodlines and it shows, literally.   BANBURY CROSS, a Section B Welsh stallion, was only shown four times in 2006 but he was champion at all four outings.  This performance followed an equally impressive 2005 season where once again, Banner ranked as Hunter Champion in every show he entered including the Virginia Fall Welsh Show where he was also named Grand Champion Section B Welsh Pony.

Descended from the Glan Nant line, Banbury Cross is a top notch mover with outstanding looks and conformation.  The stallion has the active free movement and presence Welsh ponies are known for.  Intelligent, proud and spirited, Banner also possesses the kind eye and temperament inherent in the breed.

Banner is easily handled, even by children.  In one Welsh breed show, he was ridden by a child who had never gotten on him before. The young rider schooled him over a fence, and in the ring.  At that show, Banner was pinned second and fourth in Junior Hunters and was exhibited in the stallion class where he took second.

Banner's progeny are getting ready for the 2007 show season and everyone is very excited! 

His offspring are so versatile that they excel at every discipline including reining and driving.  His get include some very nice cross-bred hunter ponies as well as full Welsh ponies that have been very successful.
